Notifications
Capture can notify people and systems when something happens: an alert fires, or a flow runs. Where those notifications go is set up once, in a notification target, and reused everywhere.

SMS (users, groups, phone numbers)
Notification targets
A notification target is a named bundle of destinations. It can have one channel of each type: Webhook, Slack, Teams, Mail and SMS. One target, for example "Line 3 breakdown", can mail the maintenance team, call a webhook and post in Slack at the same time.
Alerts and flows only point at the target. They never list the destinations themselves, so when the maintenance team changes or you switch to a different Slack channel, you change the target once and every alert that uses it follows.
You manage targets in the Notifications app, on the Targets page. See Targets.
Connections
Webhook, Slack and Teams channels deliver through a connection: a saved URL with its authentication. Connections are set up once in the Integrations app and can be reused by several targets. See Connections.
What uses targets
| Where | How |
|---|---|
| Alerting | Link one or more targets to an alert trigger. Every firing notifies them. See Alerting. |
| FlowBuilder | The notification block in a flow sends to a target. |
Delivery
Capture delivers in the background and retries when a destination is temporarily unavailable. Every delivery and its outcome is listed on the Deliveries page of the Notifications app, where you can also retry a failed one. See Deliveries.
