Targets
You manage notification targets in the Notifications app, on the Targets page. A target belongs to the company you are working in, has a name, and can have one channel of each type.
Create a target
Press Add target, give it a name and add the channels you need:
| Channel | What you set up |
|---|---|
| Webhook | Pick a connection. Create it first in the Integrations app. |
| Slack | Pick a Slack connection |
| Teams | Pick a Teams connection |
| Add 1 to 100 members: users, groups or mail addresses | |
| SMS | Add 1 to 100 members: users, groups or phone numbers |
For mail and SMS, a user is resolved to the address or phone number on their profile, and a group to all of its users. Users and groups must belong to the target's company or one of its sub-companies.
Use the international format with country code for phone numbers (e.g. +32 470 12 34 56, +31612345678, ...).
Currently supported countries:
- Belgium
- Netherlands
Test a channel
Every Webhook, Slack and Teams channel has a Send test action. It sends one test message right away, without retries, and shows you whether the destination accepted it and how long it took. Use it after setting a channel up. Test messages don't show up in the Deliveries list.
Mail and SMS channels have no test action.
Edit and delete
- Editing a target replaces its name and channels. Deliveries that are already queued still go to the destinations they were created with.
- The target list shows how many alerts are linked to each target, so you can see what a change will affect before you make it.
- Deleting a target does not change the alerts it was linked to. They simply stop notifying that target.
Who can do what
Viewing targets and deliveries needs the Notifier View right on the company. Creating, editing, deleting and retrying needs Notifier Manage. Connections are part of the Integrations app and follow its own rights.
